FAQ from a parent: My child needs to be baptized. What do I need to do?

What an exciting time for your family! Through baptism, God gives incredible gifts - He forgives, He brings us into His family, He creates faith!

Call the church office (480-895-6782) to schedule a Sunday that works for you and your family. Before the baptism, there will be a baptism orientation where we'll talk about what Baptism is and walk through what will happen in the church service so there aren't any surprises.

FAQ from a parent: How can you help me get my son/daughter connected to other students their age?

If you need help getting your son or daughter connected to our ministry... PLEASE allow us to help. We promise that we'll do three things:

1. We'll have one of our leaders call and/or write your student to personally invite him/her to one of our events.
2. We'll have one of our student leaders do the same as #1.
3. We'll share whatever information we can that might help you help your student get involved. For example; you son might say, "I don't know anyone who goes there." That's a fair concern, but chances are that they will know someone. We'll give you names, offer options, and be waiting for them to arrive at a program so they'll recognize a friendly face.

Please allow us to help. Either call us e-mail us at brinkman@rslcs.org

FAQ from a prospective preschool parent: I really want my child in Christian education. How can I get her enrolled in the school?

Contact the school office at 480-802-1505 for information about registration. Registration occurs late winter/early spring each year, and typically classes fill early. Check out the school's website for information about their philosophy and what the program offers:

FAQ from potential volunteers: Does Family Ministry need help? If so, how can I help out?

Yes, we need help! There are 100's of children and students in our church who may not have a small group leader or Sunday School teacher or adult mentor this year. If you are interested in serving in one of the most exciting ministries in our church, you'd be part of a great team of men and women volunteers who range in age from 21 to 81.

There is no stereotype of a good children's ministry or student ministry worker that you must fit:

  • You don't need to be perfect
  • You don't need to be a Bible scholar
  • You don't need to be cool
  • You don't need to be young
  • You don't need to listen to rap music

Here's what you need:

  • A caring heart
  • A likeable personality
  • A love for God
  • An interest in sharing God's love to children or students

If that's you, please contact Pastor David for more information and for a volunteer application!
