The activities of the
Outreach Ministry are directed by the Outreach Board. Its charter is: [1] to
develop and implement plans and programs designed to attract visitors and new
members to Risen Savior Lutheran Church so that they may know and follow Jesus
Christ.[2] To share the good news of Jesus Christ with non- believers
throughout the world. Key Outreach activities include:
Missions
- The Missions Committee identifies opportunities for Risen Savior to
provide financial support and hands-on help to those that are spreading the Word
of God in our community, across the nation and around the globe.
Ambassadors
- The Ambassadors are a cadre of about one-hundred Risen Savior
volunteers that serve to greet and offer hospitality to visitors after the
worship services on Sundays. Ambassadors are recruited and trained by the
Outreach Team.
Direct Mail
- The Outreach Board designs, produces and mails brochures that introduce
the benefits offered by Risen Savior Lutheran Church to church seekers
throughout the south Chandler community.
Advertising
- The Outreach Board creates and places ad and writes articles for
placement in local newspapers, telephone books and other selected advertising
media.
Visitor Packets
- Visitor Packets, that are designed to answer questions about the
ministries of Risen Savior for visitors, are created and produced by the
Outreach Board.
Evangelism Programs
- The primary charter of the Outreach Board is to design, produce and
implement a continuum of innovative programs that will attract church seekers to
Risen Savior Lutheran Church. |
