Board of Elders
-
The Board of
Elders is responsible for the spiritual well being of the members of the
congregation. As trained Eucharistic Ministers, they also assist the
Pastoral staff in distributing communion. Each Elder is responsible for
members with a geographical zone. The Elders also direct the activities of
the Altar Guild, the Ushers, the Greeters and the Decorating Committee.
-
-
Altar Guild
members maintain the Baptismal and Communion supplies. They support Baptisms
and Communion with the preparation of the water, bread and wine as well as
the maintenance of the alter table cloths and the cleaning of the altar
area. Members of the Altar Guild are provided with a knowledge of the Holy
Sacraments. Women who are interested and are willing to be trained are
welcome in the Altar Guild.
-
-
Ushers
are members who volunteer to serve as Ushers on a monthly basis. No formal
training is required. All are encouraged to serve as Ushers.
-
-
Greeters,
like the Ushers, are volunteers who serve to welcome our visitors a month at
a time. No formal training is required. All are encouraged to volunteer as
Greeters.
-
-
Lectors
are members who volunteer to read the
Scriptures during the worship services. All who enjoy reading publicly are
invited to volunteer.
-
-
Ambassadors
are volunteers that greet visitors as they exit the sanctuary to offer
information about the church and invite the visitors to join in refreshments
after the worship service. All are welcome to become Risen Savior
Ambassadors.
-
-
Audio Visual
Technicians
are responsible for the audio video
aspects of the worship services. They control the sound, lighting, cameras
and video recording during the worship services. People with an interest in
learning, or experience operating audio visual equipment and systems are
welcome as Audio Visual Technicians.
